Good to see Zaire Franklin, the pride of La Salle College High School, sell out for his favorite team growing up by tackling Miles Sanders for a 39 yard P.I. call during the Eagles’ game-winning drive:

“YOU BIG DUMMY!”

I know linebackers are probably taught to do this when you get burnt that badly, but you can’t tell me this wasn’t an inside job when the ball landed 10 feet in front of Sanders. La Salle kids are supposed to be smart. If this was a Prep kid, I’d expect a move like this. Instead we almost had a Chas McCormick and John McCarthy situation on our hands. Though this was probably just to throw the NFL off his scent:

This now marks two local heroes that have been directly involved in a Birds last-second win.  Remember when Matt Ammendola out of North Penn shanked one so his favorite childhood team could stay undefeated? –

Let’s honor these two in between the second runner up of Miss USA and a third place band from a high school in Atlanta no one has ever heard of.
