Bag it to Broad: Carter Hart on Injured Reserve
EDIT – Hart is practicing today despite being on IR, so a note from Anthony:
There seems to be confusion about Carter Hart being at practice & on IR on the same day.
I’m told, Hart suffered a mild concussion last Fri. & will not join the team on the upcoming 3-game road trip – as a precaution. He should be back 1/5 vs. ARZ. @NHLFlyers #fueledbyphilly— Anthony SanFilippo (@AntSanPhilly) December 28, 2022
It’s gone from bad to worse, to even worse than that, to whatever comes after worst:
Turns out Carter Hart is not good to go.

He was, in fact, not good to go for the upcoming California road trip.
Hart has played 27 games this year, and well. He’s got a .911 save percentage on 840 shots, which is second-most in the NHL. Only Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck has seen more pucks come at him. Hart’s really done an admirable job considering the dearth of talent in front of him.
Felix Sandstrom, the #2 going into the season, is 1-6 with a .888 save percentage. He’s facing an average of 27.8 shots over his nine appearances. Samuel Ersson, whose lone appearance this year was the 6-5 Carolina loss, will be the other goalie going going, back back, to Cali Cali.
