Jalen Hurts Gets "Limited" Designation on Injury Report
We don’t normally do injury reports on the site because every Eagles outlet publishes them. And the team posts them for everyone to see.
But since we’re in week 17 and injuries are the big story on Action News, here’s what the Thursday list looked like:
- did not participate: Lane Johnson (groin), Linval Joseph (illness), Avonte Maddox (toe)
- limited participation: Jalen Hurts (shoulder), A.J. Brown (knee/rest), Miles Sanders (knee)
- rested players: James Bradberry, Fletcher Cox, Landon Dickerson, Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, Isaac Seumalo, Darius Slay, Josh Sweat
Jalen Hurts was at practice Thursday, so his status improved from DNP to limited in 24 hours. Jordan Davis was upgraded from limited on Wednesday to full on Thursday, so good news there.
For what it’s worth, a couple of beats noted that Hurts was taking 1st team reps:

Nick Sirianni typically doesn’t comment on injuries at all, so we didn’t get anything on the right tackle front. The options there are Jack Driscoll, Andre Dillard, and Jordan Mailata moving to the other side. Not sure how you feel, but the one thing I would not do is move Mailata to play Dillard on the left. Leave your blind side tackle in place, roll with Dillard on his less-preferred side, or go with Driscoll on his preferred side. I think you leave it alone on Hurts’ blind side, but that’s just like my opinion man.
We do know C.J. Gardner-Johnson won’t play because his 21-day practice window has not yet been activated. Unless Jonathan Gannon makes some tweaks on his side of the ball, it would suggest we’re looking at another week of Josiah Scott and Reed Blankenship joining Marcus Epps, Slay, and Bradberrt in nickel. Hold on to your hats.
