Dave Dombrowski Continues To Revamp the Phillies Bullpen
A little wheelin’ and dealin’ from Dave Dombrowski on a Saturday. Gregory Soto is 27 year old hard throwing lefty reliever under club control until 2026:

Gregory Soto and Kody Clemens would go to Philadelphia if finalized.

So far Dombrowski has replaced Brad Hand, Corey Knebel, and David Robertson with Craig Kimbrel, Soto, Matt Strahm, and Erich Uelman. That’s a pretty solid bullpen to pair with Seranthony Dominguez and Jose Alvarado.
On the flip side losing Nick Maton and Matt Vierling sucks. Great clubhouse guys. It’s also not crazy to look at the Phillies roster and be somewhat weary about the depth if they roll into Opening Day with the way it is now.
How about Jim Salisbury breaking the origins of the trade the same week he departs from NBCSports Philly. When you’ve been breaking Phillies news all your life it’s hard not to scratch that itch.
Between Alvarado and Soto the Phils bullpen is going to be throwing gas and putting hitters on their ass:
José Alvarado and Gregory Soto combined to account for 81% of the 100+ MPH pitches thrown by all LHPs in the 2022 MLB regular season

Also, if the Phils need some more bullpen help Kody Clemens deals like his pops:
