Nick Sirianni  after the game:

The Eagles played a very conservative offensive game on Sunday evening. They removed all designed quarterback runs from the call sheet and limited their RPO/zone read game as well, obviously to compensate for Hurts not being 100%. They didn’t want him to re-injure that shoulder. You saw this affect them most in the red zone, where his running threat just was not there. They couldn’t go five-wide and run those nasty QB draws, or work any kind of designed stuff with blockers out in front. There was one quarterback sneak and some scrambles, but otherwise Hurts didn’t use his feet.

It wasn’t pretty, but they got the job done.

By the way, not sure why, but this made me laugh hard:

lol

Gardner-Webb. That’s a college in North Carolina. He was probably thinking of Gardner Minshew and Davis Webb and combined them into “Gardner-Webb.” A classic Freudian Slip that delivers a portmanteau at the same time. There’s gotta be a term for this. Get a linguistic expert up in here, a professor of parapraxis.

(Seth was negative and cranky again, go figure)
