Meantime:

I like it. You’ve got the rest of your life to sit around and spend time with your family. If you feel like you can still play, then play.

B.G. had a career-high 11 sacks this year, coming off an Achilles tear at age 34. He played 17 games and was part of a defensive end rotation, so he didn’t have to log as many snaps as he typically does. The early-season loss of Derek Barnett influenced this, of course, but he was incredibly solid behind Haason Reddick and Josh Sweat, and if the Eagles extend him for another year, I can’t imagine anybody would be complaining about that. There’s always a place on the roster for veteran pass rushers who are still playing at a high level. Just don’t let B.G. go to the Cowboys or Giants.
