Super Bowl champ Chris Maragos just got PAID! –
Former #Eagles captain Chris Maragos has been awarded $43.5 million for the premature and unnecessary end to his NFL career due to the improper care of his right knee injury by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Bradley and rehabilitation institute Rothman Orthopaedics

During the trial, Maragos’ lawyers claimed doctors practiced medical negligence and he was not properly advised by rehab specialists. The doctor and Rothman Orthopedics’ lawyers claim the surgery was encouraging and he re-injured his meniscus after twisting his knee in the Eagles’ weight room. Nick Foles, Trey Burton, and Jordan Hicks all testified on behalf of Maragos.
Now that we’re all caught up, I need to know how they got to this $43.5 million number. No disrespect to Chris Maragos, but the guy made $10+ million in his career which ended at 31. According to Oona Goodin-Smith at the Inky, an economist testified during trial that he would make around $8.5 million more if he was able to continue on with his career. So how the hell did he almost get six times that? Dr. James Bradley is going to have a line of special teamers on the other side of 30 outside his door tomorrow after they see this payout. Hell, cut my leg off for $43.5 million.
