Bryce Harper NOT Going on 60-Day Injured List

Quite the turn of events here:
Well, this is big. Dave Dombrowski said on WIP that the Phillies are not planning on putting Bryce Harper on the 60-day injured list. That pretty much means there is a possibility he comes back before May 29.

“I’ve been watching Harp, they can erase that date they put on for him.”

Harper had Tommy John surgery on November 23rd, so it’s been almost fourth months since that right elbow procedure. He tore his UCL in April, got a PRP injection in May, and then became the DH for the rest of the year.
Needless to say, getting Harper back before June would be huge, but it’s a long season and you don’t want to rush or risk anything. That’s the Captain Obvious take. Harper got back to hitting off a tee a few weeks ago, and so it appeared that he was ahead in terms of rehab, but let’s not jinx it. Baby steps. Need to be cautious here and then we’ll get John Middleton his fucking trophy back.
