Eagles fans are taking a victory lap on Twitter, and I’m personally kind of confused why. I guess I was hoping the Giants were going to give him $45 million a year and more years. Even $40 a year and more years would’ve been nice. Daniel Jones isn’t a franchise QB by any stretch, but maybe I’m more bullish on the Giants because I think that team has some good bones. They over-performed last year with no wide receivers, they have the Coach of the Year, and four picks in the top 102 in April. This deal is kind of perfect. They don’t mortgage the future and kept the core of a playoff team together for another run.

If you want to laugh at anything, laugh at what Saquon Barkley is receiving. They used the non-exclusive franchise tag which will pay him $10+ mil. For a guy who had a slightly better season than Miles Sanders that’s a ton:
