Eagles and Dennard Wilson Mutually Agree To Part Ways
Active Sunday for Eagles reports. Ian Rapoport tweets that the Eagles and Dennard Wilson are mutually parting ways. Wilson was the in house leader for the DC role:
After being a finalist for the #Eagles DC job that went to Sean Desai, Philly defensive pass game coordinator and DBs coach Dennard Wilson and the team are mutually parting ways, sources say. This is often the outcome when an in-house candidate is passed over for a promotion.

Coaches not coming back from the Eagles Super Bowl squad. OC Shane Steichen, DC Jonathan Gannon, LBs coach Nick Rallis, and now Wilson. Wilson was in charge of one of the best Eagles secondary’s in franchise history. Two All-Pros and CJ Gardner-Johnson, who would’ve joined them if he didn’t lacerate his kidney.
Slay and CJGJ openly lobbied for Wilson to get a DC job in the NFL:
Man with all these new coaches getting jobs.. I kno my guy Dennard Wilson should be a DC in the NFL!!

It will be interesting to see how this effects CJGJ in free agency since Jimmy Kempski wrote this weekend he doesn’t see the Eagles using the franchise tag on him.
Wilson was beloved by the Eagles corners, but if you’re looking for any consolation from this move Desai coached safety Eddie Jackson in Chicago the year he made All-Pro.
Who is ready for All-Pro Vanilla Nice?
