First free agent addition:

Penny is 27 years old, a 220 pound guy coming off a broken fibula. He only played five games last season and had an ACL tear earlier in his career.

That’s been the knock on him, the missed games. He’s played only 42 games in five seasons, with the most productive outing being a 749 yard and six touchdown campaign in 2021. He’s been really good when on the field, so it looks like the Eagles see him as a high-ceiling guy who can be productive alongside Kenny Gainwell if he can stay healthy.

People forget Penny was a first round pick back in 2018. He went 27th overall, so there was a lot of juice when he came out of San Diego State as a 2,200 yard rusher. You get him on a cheap deal (still waiting for terms) and let him run behind this offensive line, and it could turn out to be a really nice move.
