Flyers Fans are Pissed Because Comcast Blacked Out Their Own Team's Game
The Flyers/Comcast are taking a beating this week. Chuck Fletcher seems asleep at the wheel while everyone is making moves at the deadline and no one in the organization has a plan for the future. So what do you do when your fanbase loathes everything about you? Black out your team on national TV for your customers two months after increasing regional sports fees 5%:
For people asking about the game being blacked out… It seems like this is an Xfinity issue. I have Hulu live, and it's there. I'm also hearing it's on YouTube TV as well.
But Xfinity… well…. you know who you are dealing with.

If you’re an Xfinity customer and not watching the Flyers switch over to TNT real quick. This is what you’ll see:
@ComcstSpectacor @Xfinity @comcast I have Xfinity Cable, Internet, and Mobile. You own the f team. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!? I just want to watch the Flyers lose!!! pic.twitter.com/qz5JIn2ohu

Here’s a potential workaround:

The best part is there is no issue on FIOS – who doesn’t own the team.
So to summarize if you’re a Comcast customer you can’t watch the team on TV because the company who provides your cable blacked out the game of the team they own. It would be fair to ask why you’re even watching this dumpster fire of a team, but you’ve already been through enough tonight so we won’t.
UPDATE – Flyers release a statement:
We have been made aware that some fans are experiencing issues viewing tonight’s #NYRvsPHI TV broadcast. We are working with the league to resolve the issue immediately. The game is available via Xfinity Stream and on 93.3 WMMR.

So it seems like it’s a broadcast issue and not Comcast and TNT getting pissy over a contract. Interesting.
Where is this guy who cut the cable lines the night of the Super Bowl???
Where is Kevin??
