Kind of a weird situation on Wednesday night.

The Sixers were plastering the Bulls in Chicago, but Joel Embiid didn’t play in the second half. He was seen earlier in the game grabbing his leg and then the broadcast said they were told Embiid wasn’t returning essentially because the Sixers were up 20:

Pompey says Embiid’s expected to play Friday at Golden State:

Embiid looked good for the time he was out there. He played only 16 minutes but scored 12 points on 5-7 shooting, grabbed 7 rebounds, and threw 7 assists. The Sixers are kicking off an important road swing that includes a stop in Denver, so we absolutely cannot have Embiid miss games via injury down the stretch. This is the run that can win him the MVP, which includes that head-to-head against Jokic. We must not be denied Embiid vs. Jokic 2 this season. It cannot happen.
