The beats caught up with Jonathan Gannon in Indy:

Right, so Gannon didn’t speak after the Super Bowl in the Eagles’ locker room. He then took the AZ job and was gone, so asking him about the game at the NFL Combine was the first chance to do it.

He didn’t offer much, as expected, so I’ll rehash the game for you:

  1. everyone on the defensive side was terrible
  2. Jonathan Gannon was terrible
  3. the defensive line was terrible
  4. the linebackers were terrible
  5. the DBs were terrible
  6. not a single player on the defensive side of the ball made a play all game long
  7. the field sucked
  8. the Eagles got cooked by a generational coach and quarterback combination
  9. it is what it is

That’s the CliffsNotes right there. Fans and media tend to credit the players when the team does well and blame the coaches when the team does poorly, but the truth is that everyone on the defensive side of the ball in the Super Bowl was ass. A pathetic end to one of the greatest seasons in Eagles history.
