First free agent domino to fall:

Ian Rapoport says it’s a three-year deal worth $19.5 million, with $12 million guaranteed.

Edwards had a career year in Philly. 159 tackles, 10 for loss, five quarterback hits, and a pair of sacks. He started and played all 20 games this season. He’s an Illinois kid, played at Wisconsin, and is essentially playing for his hometown team now.

His reported departure means Nakobe Dean is next man up at LB, but we already knew that. They can still bring back free agent Kyzir White, but beyond that, they have Davion Taylor, Kyron Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Christian Elliss, an injured Shaun Bradley, and that’s about it at the linebacker position. It’s a group of mostly young special teamers looking to take the next step.
