Darick Hall Goes on Injured List (update: it’s not good)

Phillies lose Rhys Hoskins for the season, now his replacement is on the IL:
Prior to today’s game, the Phillies recalled INF Kody Clemens from Lehigh Valley (AAA) and placed INF Darick Hall on the 10-day IL (retro to 4/6) with a right thumb sprain.

Hall messed up his thumb sliding into second base on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium.
Clemens, meantime, has two hits in 13 at-bats for the IronPigs this season. He’s only played three games, so the sample size is very small.
Brandon Marsh is also dealing with injury, and was scratched from Wednesday’s start. The Phils injury report is getting longer, just six games in. No Harper, Hoskins, Ranger Suarez, etc ahead of the home opener. Not a great way to begin!
EDIT – oh no:
Darick Hall will have surgery — probably Wednesday. Torn ligament in his right thumb. Looking at a few months down.
