The Sportico story is behind a paywall, but they did tweet that “…it will be the highest price ever paid for a sports team, eclipsing the $4.6B that Rob Walton paid for the NFL’s Denver Broncos last year.”

We’ve been over this before. Dan Snyder stinks, the Commies stink, and now he’s finally out. Harris adds the Commies to a portfolio that also includes the Sixers, Devils, Blue Coats, Prudential Center, and portions of other teams. The thing that makes me curious is how much Sixers fans give a shit about this. Like do they care that their owner also owns an Eagles rival now? I haven’t sensed that too much. Harris isn’t the most popular Philly sports owner ever, but I don’t get the sense that there’s some intense dislike for him either. He’s just a run of the mill hedge fund guy, of which there are many.

Genuinely curious about that last part. Also, now the Commanders won’t be a joke and could be competitive, so it’s bad for the Eagles? The Commies now have an adult in the room, running the show.
