Andy Reid is the guest on the latest Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce podcast. New Heights. I didn’t get to watch the full episode yet, but this clip was floating around the internet and gives me post traumatic stress disorder:

Unless you’re Juan Castillo, who coached the Birds’ offensive line for more than 10 seasons, then inexplicably was given the defensive coordinator job despite not having coached on that side of the ball since before Taylor Swift was born. 1989. In hindsight, the firing of Sean McDermott to open the position was even worse.

Castillo coached a unit in 2012 that could only stop two things – jack and shit. How much of that was his fault is open to interpretation here. He had rookie Fletcher Cox, a young Brandon Graham, DeMeco Ryans, Trent Cole, and not-fan favorite Jason Babin. The secondary featured Nnamdi Asomugha, Kurt Coleman, Nate Allen, and DRC. Mychal Kendricks and Akeem Jordan were in there too. It wasn’t the Eagles’ best defense of all time, but nothing went right that year.
