According to Tom Verducci at Sports Illustrated, the Phillies will be playing the Mets in London next season:

This year, MLB is returning to London with the Cardinals playing the Cubs June 24 and 25. Another London Series is scheduled for 2024, with the Mets scheduled to play the Phillies. Games also are returning next season to Mexico City, where the Padres and Giants played last month. The Astros and Rockies are expected to play there in ’24.

Well Kyle Schwarber is the rightful heir to the throne:

This will be awesome for a couple of reasons. Half the Phillies look like British guys.

Schwarbs looks like he roots for Sunderland:

Bryce Harper could be the bassist in Mumford & Sons:

Trea Turner looks like a Ted Lasso extra:

Put one of those funny queen’s guard hats on Jose Alvarado and he could stand outside Buckingham Palace:

Also, it looks like from a Twitter search there are a good amount of Phillies fans in London:

It doesn’t hurt to have a Philly-themed bar like Passyunk Avenue that was already a huge hit when the Eagles played in London a couple years ago:

You can party all night there and head over to Kensington to Phillies Cafe in the morning:
