Just as we started to believe a teensy tiny amount in the Sixers they deliver a 4th quarter collapse for the ages. It was 83-81 after Tyrese Maxey’s two free throws and we wouldn’t see the ball go through the net again until the shot clock was turned off:
Series on the line and all they could do was muster 86 points. That wouldn’t have been enough to beat either the Raptors or Sixers in a Game 7…from 20 years ago. The last time the Sixers went to the Eastern Conference Finals. I can’t wait until they build the stadium downtown. At least it’ll be a closer walk to the river.
