Eagles’ In-House Host Joining Action News Sports Department

Philly sports media news:
So excited to join the sports team @6abc!! Time to get to work 👊 https://t.co/24xS8wrDsz

Saw this the other day and was somewhat confused because Action News added Renee Washington as a sports reporter and anchor back in February. Or so we thought.
Jeff Blumenthal at The Philadelphia Business Journal on that:
In February, former La Salle University soccer star Renee Washington announced that she had been hired as a sports reporter and anchor for Action News, but 6abc never confirmed the hire and Washington has not joined the newscast. Her LinkedIn indicates she has been an analyst for Gotham FC for the MSG Networks and a freelance reporter for the Atlantic 10 Conference since April. She also has also been a contributing writer for BET since February.
Guess it didn’t work out with Renee.
You may have seen Galati on some of those in-house Eagles productions with Ike Reese and Fran Duffy. They are very good. You get quality analysis without the corny hot takes, like “Gannon sux ass” or “the Eagles need to blitz more.” Obviously they are on the team payroll, like Dave Spadaro, so they aren’t gonna come out and say that Nick Sirianni’s beard line is too high, but instead you get straightforward Xs and Os and the full postgame press conferences and all of that. It’s a good product.
Kevin has been writing about Philadelphia sports since 2009. He spent seven years in the CBS 3 sports department and started with the Union during the team's 2010 inaugural season. He went to the academic powerhouses of Boyertown High School and West Virginia University. email - k.kinkead@sportradar.com
