End of an era:

Jack played 29 snaps in the Cleveland preseason game, tied for third most behind Zach Cunningham and Nicholas Morrow. Cunningham, who was brought in at the same time as Jack, has reportedly performed better in camp and looked to have the better chance to make the roster, so maybe Jack saw the writing on the wall and decided to call it a career instead of waiting around to get cut.

We’ll end the story with Grampa Simpson walking in and out of the door, but Jack had a solid NFL career. Shout out for 103 games played, 95 starts, 617 tackles, plus a handful of sacks and interceptions. Most people would love to have a pro football run like that over seven seasons. Now Jack can go be a plumber or electrician and move on to the next phase of life and enjoy himself.
