A.J. Brown responded to Donovan McNabb on Tuesday, after Donovan went on WIP Monday afternoon and brought up the Week 2 sideline argument between Brown and Jalen Hurts:

I thought we had put this to bed by now, but Donovan is an Eagles legend so he at least gets the benefit of the doubt. We will at least consider his words. He says “Play calls are being more catered to try to feature instead of establishing a tempo and…spreading the ball around,” per the WIP tweet, which seems funky. The ball was spread around nicely over the last two weeks. In New York, Dallas Goedert had 8 targets, Brown 9, and DeVonta Smith 11. D’Andre Swift got 10 looks out of the backfield and there were five throws that went to Boston Scott, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Kenny Gainwell. Same thing the week before in LA, with Brown, Goedert, and Smith seeing 23 of the 38 passing attempts on the afternoon.

Here’s the full interview if you want to listen to it. I’ll queue it up and see if we can dig out some further context on Donovan’s words:

Number 5 will always love you!

For what it’s worth, I’m still working on that Eagles-themed death metal and grindcore album. The title is “Worm Burner” and the front cover is a totally brutal picture of McNabb puking:
