Pagan saw this on Reddit and found it interesting. As do I:

One of the hardest things to do in football is appropriately distribute credit or blame. There’s a lot of stuff out there that’s hard to tag and parse, in this case, how to divvy up the criticism between Nick Sirianni and Brian Johnson for the jankiness that we’ve sometimes seen from the Eagles’ offense. It’s similar to the Frank Reich and John DeFilippo take of years past, when people would argue that they were the ones secretly responsible for Carson Wentz and Nick Foles’ 2017 successes. It was a question we could never really answer, because Reich didn’t call the plays and nobody was privy to game plan meetings or private conversations involving players and coaches.

In this case, I’d just like to know who built all these intermediate and long routes into the plays. Was that Nick Sirianni or Brian Johnson? Because when I find out, they’re gonna get a scolding, Karen style, like a middle-aged white woman just walked up on some loitering teenagers on the boardwalk. I just need to see some short crossing routes, a mesh concept, maybe simple handoff running behind Jordan Mailata or Lane Johnson.

What Spuds mentions in this Reddit AMA at least sheds some additional light on the topic. We already knew that Nick was an offensive-minded coach, but should the involvement be more or less? We’ll never know!
