Now, Cowturd doesn’t go in-depth on how the offense has stunk over the last 4-5 games, or the demotion of the defensive coordinator, or the fact that they didn’t just lose to Dallas and San Fran, but got their doors completely blown off. Plus, we all know the Niners are a class above everybody else in the league, so just getting to the NFC Championship Game isn’t going to do anything for anyone, not when you came into this year with Super Bowl aspirations and held the #1 seed for the entire middle portion of the season.

But as fans and media step back from the precipice of the Walt Whitman Bridge, we’re looking at the Giants, Cardinals, and Giants to finish the season. 13-4 with wins over the Cowboys, Chiefs, and Bills is a pretty damn good campaign. I’m not sure dispatching some lesser opponents en route to the postseason can purge the seed of doubt that was planted in minds over the past few weeks, but there’s an opportunity here to go into the playoffs with some momentum and get the mojo back. Plus, we can all beat the “underdog” thing to death again if they wind up going on the road in the NFCCG. Crazier things have happened. We back baby! Go Birds!
