All Hell Has Broken Loose Between Crossing Broad, Kevin Hayes, & Spittin' Chiclets
I was just trying to watch some goddamn football tonight and all hell is breaking loose because of Cutter Gauthier, Ant SanFilippo’s report about Kevin Hayes, and popular NHL podcast Spittin’ Chiclets. This is the most I’ve given a shit about Flyers hockey since the Stanley Cup run in 2010. Twists and turns everywhere! I’ve never seen a franchise in the history of sport give such a quick “fuck you” to a former top prospect. Everything came to a head after Ant reported on Snow The Goalie about Kevin Hayes’ fingerprints being all over this mess:
“I talked to somebody in the organization…Kevin Hayes’ fingerprints are all over this.” – @AntSanPhilly on the Cutter Gauthier trade

The clip took off immediately and everyone had an opinion including two former NHLers Paul Bissonette and Ryan Whitney from Spittin’ Chiclets which is the most popular hockey podcast in the world:
Sherlock Sanfillipo Holmes has solved the case. Kevin Hayes getting blamed for having his fingerprints all over this WTF is happening 🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/790leZ1b0L

Sidenote: “Sherlock SanFilippo” is a hilarious nickname. I will be calling Ant “Sherlock SanFilippo” for the foreseeable future.
BUT…
Nobody. Nobody discredits my guy Ant’s reports. Especially guys that have used those exact reports on their show:
“Well known Flyers blog.” Put it on the masthead!

He’s the most locked in guy locally when it comes to the Flyers. Constantly beats the national guys on stuff. He’s proven it time and time again to be the most plugged in reporter down at the Wells Fargo Center. I understand Biz has to defend his guy, but so am I. I don’t give a shit if Kevin Hayes himself declares Ant a clown and that anyone who thinks he had anything to do with Cutter not wanting to play for the Flyers doesn’t have a brain.
Oh wait…
I just talked to hayzie asking his opinion on this guy saying he was behind Cutter Gauthier requesting a trade. He started laughing and said “whoever that is is a complete clown and anyone who thinks I had anything to do with this doesn’t have a brain” pic.twitter.com/WMbPX1KywT

🚨 KEVIN HAYES JUST CALLED @AntSanPhilly A CLOWN 🚨

Wow. Straight from the traitor’s mouth. But why should we believe anything that comes from Kevin Hayes? We’re talking about another Boston College guy that hated Torts by the end of it and had the most influence in the locker room on the kid:
Speaking of that Cutter Gauthier podcast (posted April 24, 2023) here is another interesting clip from it. Cutter Gauthier said the person he talked to a lot on the Flyers was former Flyer Kevin Hayes. #LetsGoFlyers pic.twitter.com/qhVPLtakuc

We’re talking about a guy that wrote the blueprint on how not to honor a contract with the club that drafted you via Steve Silverman at Bleacher Report:
Hayes, 22, was the 24th pick in the draft five years ago. Like many American youngsters, Hayes elected to play college hockey instead of signing with the pro team that drafted him. That was not a surprise nor a shock. Hayes, a right wing/center, went on to an excellent career at Boston College. While it was expected that he would eventually put his name on a contract with the Blackhawks, he ultimately chose not to.
As a result, he is a free agent who can negotiate a deal with any team. The Blackhawks had spoken regularly with Hayes throughout his four years at Boston College. They were disappointed they couldn’t come to an agreement with him after he finished his 2013-14 season with 27 goals and 65 points for the Eagles. Hayes was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, which goes to the best college hockey player in the nation.
“We offered Kevin what we believed was a generous and fair contract,” general manager Stan Bowman said in a statement. “Unfortunately, he felt it was in his best interests to become a free agent. We are looking forward to the compensatory draft pick we are receiving and are focused on the excitement surrounding the start of training camp next month.”
Unless Quitter Gauthier is a complete sandbagger Kevin Hayes got in his ear:
