Plot Twist: Haason Reddick Says He Never Asked for a Trade and Wants to Stay in Philly
Well this was unexpected:
Never asked for a trade. However, I do understand it’s a business. Preparing for whatever is next! https://t.co/KwNaAUl7HO

Schultz added this: “The #Eagles, aware that Haason Reddick has one year left on his contract and needs a new deal, informed his camp that they could explore trade options if they want to, multiple sources told @BleacherReport. That’s where things stand with context from both sides.”
This past weekend, everybody and their mother reported that Reddick had been given permission to seek a trade. The national insiders and a lot of local people had it too, all at the same time, which revealed that it was clearly blasted out by a specific party. (EDIT – however, it was never reported that Reddick WANTED a trade, so that distinction should be made).
Then, a couple of days later, Reddick says he doesn’t want to go anywhere and would like to get an extension done. So it’s really about determining the organization’s thoughts on locking Reddick up. They typically take care of their edge rushers and place a lot of value in the position, but they’ve got Jalen Hurts on a rising cap hit and other guys to pay as well, so we’ll see how it all shakes out. Obviously the market is being probed here as Reddick goes into his final contract year. Both sides are getting the lay of the land, etc, whatever cliche you wanna use.
