Andrew Salciunas handled the Fanatic’s “major programming announcement” on Friday afternoon, which you read about Thursday on Crossing Broad. The new lineup is:

  • mornings: John Kincade, Salciunas, Connor Thomas producing
  • middays: Bob Cooney, Ray Dunne producing
  • afternoons: The Best Show Ever? (no changes)
  • evenings: Pat Egan, Tom Alvord producing

The new lineup begins Monday. As expected, no Mike Missanelli announcement, because there is no signed contract and therefore nothing to be made official. Salciunas did say later during the noon announcement that there is “more to come, a lot of great things we’re working on,” and we’re told that staff was notified in a morning meeting that while there is “nothing final,” talent is going to be added to the midday show.

Regardless of what happens with Mike, it’s not a Bob Cooney solo venture. That’s my understanding. If Mike falls through, for instance, it seems like the plan was always to have a duo in that time slot, the way it’s typically been structured at the Fanatic. They’ve had Choonis + Gargano and a producer, Bruno and Mayes, Myrtetus and Ellis, Jon and Sean, etc. It’s a main daypart and traditionally has two hosts and a producer. They were rolling with the current setup on an interim basis due to the Cuz and All City lawsuit.

For what it’s worth, there’s a web post about the new morning show, which is called Kincade and Salciunas:

On Friday at 12 pm, 97.5 The Fanatic introduced Kincade and Salciunas, the new morning show on the station.

Starting Monday, March 18th, listeners can tune into the exciting new program, airing from 6 to 10 am every weekday. Featuring John Kincade and Andrew Salciunas as the hosts, and Connor Thomas as the producer and update anchor. The show will “bring a new fresh approach to sports media with a major emphasis on covering breaking sports news as it happens.”

The blurb about the other dayparts simply says “Bob Cooney moves to the Mid-Days time slot, with Pat Egan taking over for Connor as host of Philly Sports Tonight.”

That’s the update for now. We wait on the Missanelli news, and we play the song:
