Bronny James Reportedly Will Only Work Out for the Lakers and Suns; Sixers Believed to be "Threat" to Sign LeBron
If you don’t like the thought of LeBron on the Sixers, this is good news for you. Bronny James will only be working out for the Lakers and Suns. Presumably the first sign we have into LeBron’s brain when it comes to his impending free agency decision:

The Suns are rumored to be interested in drafting Bronny at pick #22 in the first round and trying to lure LeBron into PHX.

I don’t see LeBron going to the Suns. First off, he would be playing for pennies if he joined Phoenix. They’re in cap hell and the Suns’ lack of assets doesn’t really make sense in a sign-and trade with the Lakers. The team that makes the most sense for him is the Lakers, being that he has a $50 million player-option for next year. So even if some team drafts Bronny, it could take a season for LeBron and him to play together.
Another team that could make sense and has the cap space is the Sixers. According to Brian Windhorst, they’re a threat:
“I think when you look at the options, I think the Lakers are still in very, very strong position. I would be surprised if he’s not a Laker. But it is fair to point out that Daryl Morey has been trying to sign LeBron for a decade now, multiple different opportunities. And of the teams that have a chance to win the championship next year, the only team with cap space that could offer LeBron a max contract is the 76ers. Other teams could do sign and trades, but the Lakers wouldn’t have to cooperate. The 76ers are a threat. I don’t think they’re a serious threat, but certainly in the NBA you never rule anything out.”
Do you think LeBron has scheduled the Malvern visit yet?
Windy went on to say that he expects Daryl Morey to go after LeBron, PG, and any other star in free agency, while Udonis Haslem was adamant LeBron will be sipping wine in the south of France, waiting for the new TV deal to drop, and then re-sign with the Lakers.
I don’t think Daryl Morey would ever draft Bronny at #16. Would he trade up to get back into the first round? That’d be interesting. Selfishly, the media circus that is LeBron would be great for the site. And he can definitely play at an All-NBA level coming off a season of 71 games shooting 41% from 3 and playing 35 minutes a game. Not to mention he was named Third team All-NBA. Until he proves he can’t play at a competitive level anymore, I’ll take a chance on him. He’d be an awesome complement to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey while facilitating for others. We see Embiid sometimes fade late in games it’d be nice to have another legit scoring threat that can get guys involved. He can commute from New York too and if Embiid misses time with injury he’s got a ton of experience playing with a back up big man.
Not to mention Bronny. I personally don’t get the whole Bronny hate. I bet some of the people that are saying he’s only being considered in the first round because of his dad fail to mention they only got their Big 4 internship because their dad knows the partner. It’s not like we haven’t seen this before. Giannis’ brother gets to come in for mop up duty when the game is over because he’s Giannis’ brother. If some team wants to draft Bronny because they might get LeBron so be it. How many lottery picks do we see drafted based on upside that don’t pan out anyway? He tested well at the combine:
The only roadblock drafting Bronny is figuring out what number he gets.
