A Guy Walked Up and Down the Rocky Steps for 24 Straight Hours in an Effort to Collab With Jason Kelce
You probably know No Shorts if you’re from the Philly area and frequent TikTok or IG. From Friday at 11:55 a.m. until Saturday at 11:55 a.m. he walked up and down the Rocky Steps for 24 hours straight. Why? To collaborate with Jason Kelce of course:
@noshortsusa Thx to all my followers that came out to support me, yall have no idea how much that helped❤️ #philly #rocky
Could you imagine being so famous you have a person putting themselves through borderline torture rituals just for a collab? This kid walked a marathon and then did another half marathon up and down. I can’t imagine what the last couple of hours of this felt like. I sit on the toilet for more than 20 minutes and my legs are jello for the next five hours. This kid, Santiago, pulled off 38 miles, 89,148 steps, and 700 flights of steps. To put that into perspective, that’s walking up and down the Empire State Building eight times. I went over to see him on Friday and ended up participating for a little and was over it in 30 minutes. I couldn’t imagine 24 hours.
Some people will say this is a little much for a collab with Jason Kelce. I say those people just don’t understand how the Internet works. Billions of people are out there fighting for eyeballs and you need to find something that’ll cut through to the mainstream. This is a perfect Philly video. Incorporating one of the most beloved figures with a beloved movie at one of the most famous tourist attractions our city has to offer. That’s what we call numbies in the content biz.
Now if you’re Jason Kelce, do you collab right away or do you wait to see how bad he really wants it? How much do you want to participate in the torture? 24 straight hours of walking up and down the Rocky Steps isn’t something to shake a stick at. But if I’m Jason I’m wondering what else this does this guy have in store? Swimming a 150om freestyle in the Schuykill? Skydiving from the top of the Comcast Center in a #62 jersey? Oklahoma drill with a Nissan Altima on Girard Ave? How bad does Santiago want this collab?
