Emmanuel Acho sums up the Jahan Dotson addition nicely here:

Bingo. CB3 is going to be on Jahan Dotson. A safety is gonna have to come down on Dallas Goedert. Someone is going to win on every rep, and if Jalen Hurts makes the right reads, which is a big IF, he’ll always have a place to go with the football. Then, on the seemingly-rare occasion that no one is open, what? He just takes off with his legs and picks up a few yards. It feels like there’s an answer to everything on paper and the only position that you have any legitimate concern with is right guard, assuming Cam Jurgens plays center at the same level he played RG last year.

Name a defense that has the players to cover every threat that the Eagles can throw at you. Niners? Ravens? Jets? Those are the top three projected units going into the season and only one is on the schedule. 11 personnel this year is going to include Barkley, Brown, Smith, Dotson, and Goedert, which begs the question of how much 12 personnel they play in 2024. There was no issue taking Quez Watkins or whomever off the field and throwing Jack Stoll in there as an extra blocker, and SportRadar notes that they played two tight ends 21.6% of the time. You have to imagine that number drops off this year. Kellen Moore’s Chargers did play a lot of 12 personnel last year, but outside of Keenan Allen they really did not have much in the receiver department. Their three tight ends caught eight of their 24 touchdowns.

Of course, it’s contingent on QB1 to get the ball to the appropriate spots. As Mike Groh once famously said, “there is only one football,” and that was in 2018 when the Eagles had half the offensive talent out there. So we concoct some pre-concern in our minds and wonder if there’s enough to go around for three great receivers, Saquon, Goedert, and whatever Jalen Hurts designed runs made it over from Nick Sirianni’s playbook. For now, it looks like they’ll win every game 40 to 33. I got em going 17-0.
