Gotta be honest, I was thinking of retiring the RADIO WARS brand, since it’s stale and I’m kind of over it, but we might be forced to bring it back after Mike Missanelli roasted WIP and Howard Eskin just five minutes into his 97.5 the Fanatic return:

“There won’t be any dumbass hot takes here… ‘well they need to move Trea Turner to right field when he comes back from his injury, Bryce Harper doesn’t run out balls all the time.’ Opinions like that, to me, are an insult to Philly sports fans. Because it’s just immature nonsense. Philly fans deserve better than that. You deserve the truth. You deserve logic. You don’t deserve hot takes. We’re gonna go deep into hot topics, but they’ll be based on good logic and analysis. Here’s one last thing – there won’t be any unwelcome kisses, alright?”

Damn. Emptied the clip. He didn’t name names, but the Trea Turner outfield move was suggested by Joe Giglio and Spike Eskin did his accountability angle with Harper. Mike followed that up by unloading a howitzer on The King, a former WIP co-host who he “wanted to kill every day.”

But yeah, we’re cooking with gas now. Felt like 2015 for a second there. Next thing you know, black roses are going to be sent to Mike’s work station in Bala. Do we ride a RADIO WARS redux to cheap clicks? We shall see…
