Big Dom and NFL security must’ve gotten to Darius Slay because he apologized for the comments he made on his podcast last week about Brazil:

Should Darius Slay have to apologize? Nope. Isn’t that the reason these athletes are getting into podcasts? So they can have an opinion and be free to craft their narrative? Why’s he apologizing? From everything we’ve heard and read the Eagles and NFL security put on a borderline Scared Straight episode during team meetings. Where Slay went wrong is he broke rule #1. Don’t fuck the money up in the NFL. When Roger Goodell sees potential billions the NFL can make off of an international market anything a player says that could ruin it will be dealt with accordingly. I wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL sent a couple suits from HQ down to Slay’s house in an unmarked van and kidnapped his family until he tweeted out an apology.

“I’ve heard y’all are very passionate.” is code for Roger, please return my family!

I can’t blame Slay. I got caught up in the danger hyperbole every time I read an article about the place. Cartels! Wild fires! No Twitter! Oh my!

But now that I’ve seen Eagles fans having a great time in Brazil I’ve done a 180. Most are in Rio at the moment fwiw, but everyone’s enjoying the sites, the food, and acclimating to the culture perfectly.

Eagles fans might drink Brazil out of all of it’s alcohol via Kerri Corrado at CBS3:

“Even at the hotel I can tell they are not used to having this type of crowd that’s at the bar all night long,” Jaime Pagliei, The Philly Sports Guy, said.

We’ve got Hoagie Mouths in the lobby singing the fight song:

I went full suburban mom afraid to let her kid go to college in Philadelphia. I thought the gangs would kill anyone on site who dare wore green. There would be muggings and pickpockets galore and an actual real life Ryan Lochte event. I was clutching my pearls seeing my brethren board the flight. Turns out it’s like any other foreign country. Just go to the tourist spots and be aware of your surroundings. The new guy, Pete, knocked it out of the park with his thoughts on the entire situation:
