Rob Thomson and Tom McCarthy Continue the Streak of Phillies Clairvoyance
There’s been a lot of Phillies prophecy in recent weeks, if not outright omnipotence. Last week, John Kruk called a Bryce Harper walk off, and this week Rob Thomson is foreshadowing home runs:
Sources tell us that Kody is seeing the ball well#RingTheBell pic.twitter.com/mmyWfMn4KG
— Philadelphia Phillies (@Phillies) September 4, 2024
“Rob Thomson, what did he tell us today at breakfast? I thought he (Kody Clemens) was going to homer in that first at-bat because he was seeing the ball so well. <home run blasted> Oh, there you go. Out to right field. Going back on it is Springer, out to the wall, it is gone! A two-run home run for Kody Clemens. And the Phillies retake the lead. It’s a 3-2 game!”
Topper was the one who called it, but I gave T Mac credit in the headline because he shared the information with all of us. Do these guys have the lottery numbers? What’s the stock market going to look like next week? There’s gotta be a way to extend this intuition beyond the game of baseball. Maybe something that earns us all a lot of money, but legal in nature. No insider trading. No taking money as part of a Russian disinformation campaign. Good morning.
