WWE Gives a Great Tribute to the Gaudreau Brothers at Calgary Show
Awesome moment from WWE on the day of the Gaudreau brothers’ funeral:

Nailed it. Shout out to Joe Tessitore and Jackie Redmond especially, who works for the WWE and covers the NHL on TNT, for nailing that continuous shot all in one take. That is not easy.
Later in the night, WWE Superstar Sami Zayn came out in a Johnny Gaudreau jersey and stood in the ring with Calgary’s son, Bret “The Hitman” Hart:

The tributes have poured in from all over in the last week. This weekend, Pearl Jam gave a tribute to the Gaudreau brothers during their show in Philly:

It’s amazing to see how much two brothers from a small town in New Jersey made an impact on people all around the globe.
I do want to share one thing from Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau’s funeral. It was a beautiful service with a packed church and teammates past and present attending. Both John and Matt’s wives, Meredith and Madeline, gave amazing eulogies. But the thing that I can’t get out of my head is this shot of the Gaudreau parents leaving the service. It’s so powerful:
If you can look at this photo and still drink and drive you’re an asshole. This guy not only ruined two people’s lives, but shattered the lives of thousands of family members, friends, and fans around the globe. It’s just such a selfish act for no reason and it’s a moment that will have a lasting impact for generations.
