Good. This will allow Avonte Maddox more time to focus on his gaming while a hungry rookie gets on the field.
Maybe Avonte and Mike Evans can get together for some Fortnite:

Yeah yeah, “the players are people too.” That’s great. They’re just like us, thinking about what they’re gonna do when their shift is over. Except Avonte’s shift is playing cornerback in the NFL while we’re delivering packages, making sandwiches, and writing crappy blog posts. His job is not a regular job, therefore you can’t be asking an opponent “you still be gaming?” in the middle of a football game that you’re losing badly. The kids always use the word “unserious” these days, and it may have jumped the shark, but that video clip is the definition of unserious. Imagine Brian Dawkins asking Amani Toomer, in the middle of the 2nd quarter, if he’s tried this new game for Playstation 2 called Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Maddox has been a good Eagle for some time now. Injuries have killed him, but he’s played the slot corner position at a high level on and off since he was drafted in 2018. That’s why it’s annoying to see him miss tackles worse than Asante Samuel and yuk it up with Mike Evans, because there’s a good football player in there somewhere. Now we’ll see if DeJean is that guy. Of course, if the Eagles can’t get to the lame duck Deshaun Watson, it won’t matter, but at least we’re seeing something different this weekend.
this is my last Darius Slay/Avonte Maddox rant before moving on with life, but I think it’s reasonable pic.twitter.com/P7bf7HivJG
