Jared McCain is Already Annoying Sixers Teammates With His Vlogs
By Kyle Pagan

I’m sure the Sixers talked to Jared McCain about making sure social media wouldn’t be a distraction before they even drafted him. I’m also pretty sure Kyle Lowry is joking around here. I want to believe Jared McCain has enough common sense to not include this just for views if Lowry wasn’t actually kidding. With some of the reaction already to this video online it will be interesting to see how his rookie year plays out with fans:

I gotta admit, I have a feeling McCain is going to struggle here with the old school approach to thinking this city sometimes has. The Sixers fanbase at its core will love him. They’re a more diverse and younger crowd that understands the NBA player has changed. Where Darius Slay is getting roasted for doing Micah Parsons’ podcast by your WIP Uncle, I think a lot of Sixers fans wouldn’t be as annoyed if Paul George had Jaylen Brown or Jalen Brunson on his. If McCain struggles early or doesn’t immediately help the Sixers achieve their goals you’re going to hear a lot of outside noise about “less time on TikTok and more time in the gym!” And I’m sure that’s not anything he hasn’t heard before, but this city is a lot harder to play in and expects way more than Durham.
We also already watched this exact scenario play out with another first rounder. Remember when Matisse Thybulle started doing vlogs in the bubble? They were awesome! Immediate hits even fans of other teams enjoyed. Then remember he started to struggle, refused to get the vax, and fell out of favor in the rotation? People flipped QUICK! #NBATwitter was on his head every single night until he got sent to the Portland abyss and was never heard from ever again. I hope that doesn’t happen with McCain, but the Internet is the Wild West. There’s only so much hate you can take from @MaxeySZN69 and @NBACentel. The incels will be running the asylum from Wednesday til June. They can move the public perception of a player in 24 hours with targeted grassroots campaigns that would make Russian bots blush. Honestly, I could win a run for office in four years by just recruiting the top incels from NBA Twitter. They’ll have my opponent bullied off of social media in 48 hours. People will believe the most heinous shit said about them. Why? Because my army of incels yield power that could overthrow the governments of a small country. Everyone knows the next World War is going to be fought on the Internet.
Anyway here’s the full vlog if you want to watch it:
I for one will take the high road when it comes to this guy. Even if he dresses like a juggalo. I have no fashion sense, but if you painted his face and gave him a Faygo he’d fit right in at a ICP concert.
