It’s the end of an era:

Should the Eagles waive Kenny Pickett and sign Daniel Jones? Add him to the quarterback factory? You know someone is gonna bring it up on sports talk radio. Maybe they already have. Jones is going to clear waivers and become a free agent, and my gut tells me that Jerry Jones is gonna bring him to the Big D, and save Thanksgiving by setting up Daniel Jones vs. Tommy DeVito. But the Eagles could offer D.J. a spot on the practice squad for the rest of the season, then give him a Week 17 start when the division is already wrapped up. Brilliant! You can’t write a better story.

Spotrac says the Giants will eat a dead cap hit of $22.2 million in 2025, which is what it is. The guy obviously was not the franchise quarterback they hoped for, so they part ways and move on. They’ll have Tommy Cutlets out there for the time being and likely draft the best QB available in the spring, barring some incredible bone-head type of move.
