Yinzers Only Had Two Second Half Possessions in Eagles Loss
Pretty wild:
The Steelers had just two drives in the second half against the Eagles.

It looked like the Birds were gonna run away with this game, then it got a little dicey before halftime, with Pittsburgh going on a 10-0 run to cut the lead to four points. But the Eagles got the ball back to begin the third quarter and went 47 yards for a field goal, which took more than seven minutes off the clock. The Steelers came back with the flea flicker and a huge 1st down gain, moved into Philly territory rather easily, then Najee Harris fumbled and the Birds took it 74 yards for a tush push and score.
On the ensuing drive, down 27-13, you wonder if Mike Tomlin made a mistake punting from the Eagles’ 46 yard line. They downed it at the six and a series of Eagles penalties backed them up even further, to the point where the Steelers had 3rd and 6 and a chance to hold. It would have given them the ball back with good field position and about 9:30 on the clock. Instead, Jalen Hurts hit A.J. Brown for 21 yards and Russell Wilson never touched the ball again.
So if you add it up, the Eagles had the ball for more than 23 minutes in the second half while the Steelers had it for less than six. That final drive went 10:29 over 21 plays in which they were 3 for 3 on third down and converted a shove on 4th and 1. A masterful job of clock control and moving the chains. Throw in the first half numbers and the Eagles controlled the clock for 39:52 and the Steelers had 20:08 of possession. Those are 2017 Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz/Nick Foles numbers. We all know what that team accomplished.
