Doug P is out in Duval. Here’s a statement from owner Shad Khan:

Doug went 22 and 29 in three seasons, going 9-8, 9-8, and 4-13. Eighteen of those losses came in the last 23 games, including a 2023 collapse following an 8-3 start. His fate was probably sealed when the Jag-wires started 0-4 and he took a shot at the players, saying “As coaches, we can’t go out there and make the plays, right? It’s a two-way street.” Trevor Lawrence looked like he was regressing even before the shoulder injury and cheap shot concussion, and that was probably the main concern beyond the record itself, since Doug is a QB guy and wasn’t able to make 2022 Lawrence a consistent thing. He also had Press Taylor calling plays and seemed to go down that same Philly rabbit hole of wanting to put his guys in big staff roles. Throw in the fact that the AFC South is probably the worst division in football, and it’s pretty disappointing overall.

Of course, if Doug goes, Trent Baalke should also go, but he is staying. How many coach firings has that guy survived? And expect to hear your Eagles fan friend say that the Birds should bring Doug back. He can be a consultant to Kellen Moore, or do “offensive quality control” or something like that. There will be stories written about this. Maybe a reunion with Andy Reid in KC? Offensive coordinator somewhere else? Curious to see where he lands.

On the other hand, who gives a shit about the Jaguars? Doug P is a Philly legend. We will always have this:
