All in is out and selectively aggressive is in, according to Stephen Jones:

Selectively aggressive is probably the right move for the Cowboys. Still, it’s hilarious after Jerry Jones said the Cowboys were going “all in” and they didn’t even call Derrick Henry, they’re now probably having meetings at the Star to make sure they don’t piss off their entire fanbase again. I just can’t wait to see what selectively aggressive is. Being selectively aggressive is probably a better strategy at a buffet than it is in the NFL. Do you go all out for pizza, wings, and fries first? You definitely don’t fill up on the bread. That’s amateur hour. That would be like overpaying for the ‘lockdown’ DB in free agency. Do you mix in a salad so you have room for the ice cream or do you fill up your plate with the chicken and broccoli, stir-fry, and orange chicken? It’s a process, but unlike the Cowboys we only have to worry about paying $19.99 for an all-you-can-eat feast. There aren’t cap hits and shit and egos in play. The shrimp fried rice isn’t going to get mad at you because you picked the chicken dumpling this round. They know there is enough to go around.

All-in vs. selectively aggressive:

If ‘all in’ was last year and ‘selectively aggressive’ is this year’s mantra you gotta imagine the Cowboys aren’t going to do jack. They have Micah Parsons to sign, which probably won’t get done until late into training camp per usual, and more free agents like DeMarcus Lawrence. Now that Zack Martin has retired they’ll have to replace him too. You can guarantee the Cowboys won’t be a threat next season and it’s only February. We Dem Selectively Aggressive Boyz!
