Sixers are Nine-Point Favorite at Home Against Raptors
It’s time to get it back to the Philadelphia 76ers!
Well, look, the Sixers are the better playoff hopeful than the Flyers and the big three of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey are on the floor together Tuesday night.
So there’s at least that bright spot! And the fact that the Sixers are a nine-point favorite against the Raptors.
The Sixers are still the third-worst team in the NBA against the spread and they are 1-2 ATS as a favorite of nine or more points. Toronto is 8-12 ATS as an underdog of nine or more.
For once, the opponent’s injury report is much bigger than the Sixers’. The Raptors will be without Jakob Poeltl, R.J. Barrett, and new acquisition Brandon Ingram.
That leaves Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley as the only real threats to the Sixers defense, so in theory, they should cruise inside the Wells Fargo Center.
Joel Embiid is questionable, but he typically plays with that designation, especially with a day off in between games and the All-Star break on the horizon.
Embiid should FEAST down low against a Raptors team without much of an interior presence with Poeltl off the floor. Jonathan Mogbo and Chris Boucher will be Embiid’s primary defenders.
Embiid averaged 26.3 points, 10 rebounds and 7.3 assists across his three February appearances. His point prop sits at 27.5 and his rebounds prop is 9.5. He might be able to reach 10 rebounds with his eyes closed given the size advantage.
The one angle a lot of people will try to play on Tuesday is Embiid’s assist prop. He had at least six assists in each of his last three games and his total sits at 4.5. It’s not a bad call to play the over on that, but the rebounds look far more enticing with the lack of a true Toronto center.
If Embiid is passing the ball, it’s probably to Maxey, who is on a run of 18 straight games with 25+ points. Maxey comes into Tuesday with at least three three-pointers in six straight games and in 11 of his last 12.
A combination of Embiid and Maxey 25+ points, Embiid 10+ rebounds and Maxey 3+ threes is probably the best way to go for Same Game Parlays.
FanDuel has a 30 percent profit boost for NBA bets, DraftKings has a No Sweat token available for Tuesday’s NBA action and bet365 has a Safety Net Bet where you can get up to $10 back in bonus bets if your SGP loses. Alternately, you can avoid this game entirely, grab a PA casino sign up bonus, and not tie your financial wellbeing to the Philadelphia 76ers.
