The Thrilla Over a Latte With Vanilla: NFL Insiders Go Nose to Nose in Starbucks at Scouting Combine
Fireworks in Indianapolis at the NFL Scouting Combine as FOX Insider Jordan Schultz verbally confronted NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport at a Starbucks:
Im hearing that there was literaly a serious big time media confrontation AT STARBUCKS between two NFL newsbreakers were NFL security has been asked to step in. More to come im sure

It was so violent they had to get NFL security involved!?!
Apparently the fight was over the details of the Matt Stafford/Tom Brady random meetup in Montana. Schulz claims it wasn’t random and that Brady has been trying to get Stafford to Las Vegas:
If you really think Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford just happened to run into each other at a ski resort in Montana — of all places — at the exact same time, I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
They were together over the weekend —it happened. Multiple teams are interested in… https://t.co/5UiU4lVoal

Rapoport suggested there is nothing to see here because they both own houses in that community:
Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford, like many other high-profile people, both own houses in the same ski community. https://t.co/rMKmmFSwSB

That set Schultz off apparently and he decided to confront Rapoport in a Marriott Starbucks. A hilarious addition to this story is that Schultz is apparently the son of former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. So this is kind of like home field advantage for him. This was the house that his father built. He created a high-end coffee experience and Jordan was about to deliver I high-end ass kicking. Ian Rapoport will never have his name spelt correctly on his coffee EVER again!
Really it was just two guys close talking as Pro Football Talk has all the juicy details:
We’re told that Rapoport was talking to an agent. Schultz approached Rapoport and said, “We need to talk.” (Or specific words to that effect.)
Rapoport replied, we’re told, “We don’t need to talk.” (Or specific words to that effect.)
Schultz then made accusations about Rapoport, we’re told. Rapoport, we’re told, regards the accusations as unfounded. The two men were essentially face to face.
“If you have anything to say it to me, say it to my fucking face,” Schultz said, or specific words to that effect. “If this continues we’re going to have a fucking problem.” (As noted below, Schultz does not recall using profanity.)
Rapoport then asked Schultz to step back.
“If this happens again, we’re gonna have fucking problem,” Schultz said, or specific words to that effect. “Now I’ll step back.”
The incident was reported to NFL Security. And NFL Security has taken statements from multiple witnesses.
If we’re choosing sides I gotta agree with Schultz on the Brady/Stafford drama. This is Stafford’s MO. You want me to believe Sean McVay and Stafford were randomly staying at the same resort in Cabo and then a trade worked out for him to come to LA? Not going too. Where there’s smoke there is fire and Brady and Stafford were definitely talking shop on the ski lift.
Back to Rapoport for a second. I’m a Rapoport guy. He’s the only one that doesn’t seem slimy out of all the NFL insiders, but you still can’t get NFL personnel involved that now we’re conducting investigations with witnesses. Just call him a nepo baby and split or have your buddy Mike Garafalo from South Philly call a guy.
