Does anyone else find it interesting that A.J. Brown is the topic of trade speculation nationally, but no one in Philadelphia wants to trade the guy? Two clips here, one from New England sports talk radio and the other from Colin Cowturd:

Alright, so New England went out and hired Mike Vrabel. Their receivers totally stink. They’re basically doing what we did with Carson Wentz, and praying to their respective deities that he winds up in a situation that makes sense on paper. Carson was dumped on Indy and the rest, as they say, is history.

Difference being, Wentz was a problem here and A.J. Brown is not. Even after all of the nonsensical drama surrounding Brown and Jalen Hurts, and Brandon Graham’s comments and whether or not QB1 and WR1 hate each other’s guts, they went out and won a Super Bowl in dominating fashion. In fact, following the Carolina game and the grumbling about the passing attack, Brown came back in the next two games and put up 207 yards and two touchdowns on 16 receptions. So whatever was going on between he and Jalen Hurts obviously had no impact on on-field performance and there does not seem to be any kind of immediate relationship issue that requires attention.

Maybe national media, less granular in nature, continues with this belief that A.J. Brown is unhappy here or that he doesn’t get along with his quarterback. Eagles fans, for the most part, have seemed to move on from that. All of the calls to trade A.J. are coming from outside of the house, not inside. He’s the best receiver the Birds have had since Terrell Owens, and if Howie Roseman does move him, it’s not gonna be because he’s some locker room cancer or underperformer.
