Leonard Williams is Going to... the Giants?
No Leonard Williams for the Eagles, according to Schefty:
Trade: Jets traded Leonard Williams to Giants for a 3 this year and a 5 in 2021, per source.

More details: The 2021 5th-round pick that the Giants are trading to the Jets for Leonard Williams becomes a 4th-round pick if he signs a contract extension before the start of the league year, per source.
Jets are paying $4 million of Williams’ $6 million salary this season.

Field Yates says this is the first time the Giants and Jets have ever made a trade together. That’s wild.
But jeez, that’s a steep price. This is a 2-6 team BUYING at the deadline, giving up a 3rd and a conditional 4th/5th for eight games of a guy on an expiring rookie deal. He’s in line to sign his first big boy contract this offseason and the Giants have already put some draft capital into a defensive line that includes Dexter Lawrence, Dalvin Tomlinson, and B.J. Hill, who are a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick.
Matt Lombardo seems to think another shoe will mmmm….. drop:
Williams joins a defensive line that includes Dalvin Tomlinson, B.J. Hill and first-round choice Dexter Lawrence, which creates the flexibility for general manager Dave Gettleman to make another move to try to recoup the hefty price tag of a third and fifth-round pick that was sent to the Jets in the deal.
Tomlinson could be the odd man out, two years after signing a four-year, $4.57 million contract that includes $2.13 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $1.46 million.
Dave Gettleman, explain yourself.
