Kevin Durant Among Four Brooklyn Nets to Test Positive for Coronavirus

The Coronavirus does not discriminate. It doesn’t matter if you’re a 7’1″ French center who stupidly touches every microphone and recording device. It doesn’t matter if you’re his teammate and former runner-up for the Rookie of the Year. It apparently doesn’t even care if you’ve played a single minute in the NBA this season. That’s because per Woj, four Brooklyn Nets have tested positive for the Coronavirus:

And per Shams Charania, Kevin Durant was among the four players:
Kevin Durant tested positive for coronavirus, Durant tells @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Durant says he is feeling fine: "Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this."

As for a timeline, the Nets played against the Lakers in LA on March 10, and were scheduled for a March 12 tilt in the Bay Area against the Golden State Warriors. That game, along with the entire NBA season, was postponed at which point Woj reports the team was tested for the virus:
Sources: Brooklyn tested the team upon returning from San Francisco and results came back today. Nets paid out of pocket to a private company to conduct tests. One player awoke with some aches today; rest have experienced no symptoms.

The message Durant relayed to Shams is an astute one: Be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine.
