When Derrius Guice entered the 2018 NFL draft, he brought red flags with him. Questions of character.

The Washington Football Team took a gamble on Guice with a second round pick, and released him this weekend following domestic violence accusations.

Washington Post justice reporter Justin Jouvenal obtained the court documents, which reveal these allegations:

Guice barely even played for Washington, logging just five games total due to knee injuries over the past two seasons. His final Redskins stats are 42 carries for 254 yards and two touchdowns, with seven receptions for 79 yards and score.

You might recall the rumor from a few years back, when Guice and the Eagles were said to have gotten into a “shouting match” during his pre-draft visit. Howie Roseman later came out and denied the story, saying there was no such altercation. The Birds passed on Guice and used their first pick on Dallas Goedert instead.
