DraftKings Is Bringing Live Dealer Blackjack to Pennsylvania

DraftKings Online Casino is bringing its popular live Blackjack offering to Pennsylvania.
Beginning its soft launch today and tomorrow, October 21 and October 22, the DraftKings app in Pennsylvania will now offer live dealer Blackjack. For those who are unfamiliar, online casinos typically offer virtual slots and table games akin to video games.
However, technology has made it possible for some table games to be conducted and dealt by live dealers in a studio and played in real-time on users’ phones.
Thus far only New Jersey has allowed this sort of setup, but it is making its way across the river to PA online casinos.

Rather than taking the traditional casino vibe and imparting it into a phone, DraftKings has created its own live dealer studios. They offer a distinctively more modern feel. The idea is to appeal to a younger demographic than traditional online casinos.
The live dealer blackjack experience in DraftKings will be backed by Evolution Gaming. The gaming service prodiver received its license in Pennsylvania in January and is now entering its product into the soft launch phase, presumably set to go fully live this weekend if all goes well.
Live dealer Roulette will also be available in the app.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board institutes these soft launch phases for all online gambling products in order to ensure that they are working properly, funds are deposited and withdrawn seamlessly, and to iron out any quirks in the apps or user experience.
