Villanova Staying in Connecticut, Adds Virginia Tech to Replace Temple Game

So far, so good for Kyle’s Villanova squad.
The Wildcats took out a Boston College team on Wednesday that was certainly up for it, pulling away in the second half to win by nine. Thursday night, they followed that up with a comfortable victory over #18 Arizona State to win the Empire Classic.
Nova’s upcoming game with Temple was postponed due to a positive test in the Owls’ camp. They were going to head back to Philadelphia to play St. Joe’s on Monday night and Virginia Tech, meantime, was supposed to play the Owls on Saturday, but that game was also lost.
Here’s the solution:
Anybody still up? The decision is in at 1:45 a.m.—Villanova is staying for another game in Bubbleville and will play Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. on Saturday night, source tells CBS Sports. Game is currently scheduled to be broadcast on ESPNews.

Creative and flexible scheduling here. It makes a lot of sense, and now both schools’ willingness to adapt gives them another power five game in a location that works.
As for Temple, basketball activities are currently paused. The Owls are underdoing a 14-day quarantine and have had to cancel the games with Nova, VT, and also La Salle.
