Let’s Learn About Nick Sirianni, who is a DMX Fan

Honest to God, we don’t know jack shit about new Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. We know he’s a Frank Reich assistant who coached three different quarterbacks in Indianapolis, and has 10 years of NFL experience with the Colts, Chiefs, and Chargers.
When you aren’t familiar with a person or a topic, you turn to THE EXPERTS instead, and here’s a sampling of the reaction and information being shared:

Yeah.. well I think we knew that was going to be the case. Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie are calling the shots. A 39-year-old, first-time head coach isn’t going to be making the draft picks or signing the free agents.
Here are a couple of not-so-ringing endorsements:
I spoke with an NFL source who is very familiar with Nick Sirianni's coaching apporach, he said his strength is "He focuses on the positive (attributes) of players, as opposed to the negatives."
The source said he coaches to his players' strengths. #Eagles

From an NFL source familiar w/ Sirianni’s credentials as a HC:
“Good guy, solid candidate. Fairly smart but not super smart. Concern is he is likely to top out at a B-level coach for team that is in the mix to make the playoffs, but not a real SB chance. Low drama, even keel.”

That’s alright. All he needs to do is fix Carson Wentz and hire the right coaching staff. Needs a solid defensive coordinator and might benefit from a veteran #2 as an assistant head coach or something along those lines.
Bo with a good point here:
The Eagles hiring Nick Sirianni at least lays waste to the excuse that Eric Bieniemy hasn't been hired because he doesn't call plays.

Sirianni didn’t call plays in Indy. He essentially functioned under Frank Reich the same way Reich functioned under Doug Pederson.
Here are some video clips that shed some light on the guy himself:

A side note from John Clark on Twitter:
Players who have played for Nick told me: “Great game planner. Genuinely a great person. Would be awesome in the lockeroom. Has some fire to him”
Nick has input on plays
He turned down a head coach interview two years ago:
Two years ago, Nick Sirianni turned down an interview with the #Browns because he wanted to focus on the #Colts' playoff game.
He didn't take an interview until this week with the #Eagles … and now is poised to bring his high-energy style to Philadelphia. @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/DPCiI50wUM

That’s awesome. He’s a DMX fan? Need to get his Mount Rushmore of DMX tracks. Mine would be:
- Ruff Ryders’ Anthem
- Fuckin wit D
- Slippin’
- Get at me Dog
I saw DMX with Nas and Lil’ Kim in 2003. DMX came out, did a 40 minute set, said a prayer, and then started crying and walked off the stage. Not sure what that was all about, but it was a good show.
Welcome to Philadelphia, Nick Sirianni.
